What is the american jobs project?

The American Jobs Project brings best practice policy models and innovative ideas from around the globe to local and state governments and stakeholders, creating bottom-up strategies that create good-paying jobs in the advanced energy industry. Unlike a federal solution, a state-based strategy can readily achieve broad political support if properly framed. In the states we work with, we partner with academics at major universities and institutes as well as dozens of stakeholders in industry, government, and nonprofit sectors. We focus on right-fit solutions, taking into account the nuances of public opinion and political feasibility, knowing that one size does not fit all. This enables local stakeholders to take best practices and innovative ideas and make them their own. The ultimate goal: good-paying jobs for communities at risk, especially those who face changing energy economies. Explore our site to read our state reports and search best practice policy ideas.
