Who We Are

The American Jobs Project, founded by former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, was active 2014 – 2019 to bolster clean energy manufacturing across the United States.

The American Jobs Project was a nonprofit, nonpartisan, think-and-do tank that worked with partners across the nation to identify local pathways to creating good-paying jobs in advanced energy.

Advanced energy represents one of the largest economic opportunities of our generation, and the actions we take now will determine whether the U.S. leads or follows in the global market. The American Jobs Project was dedicated to empowering and equipping leaders and stakeholders to embrace quickly growing advanced energy markets to ensure the American workforce and economy isn’t left behind during the rapid energy transition.
